"What do Regulations Stipulate?"

The Fire Precautions Workplace Regulations and the Health & Safety at Work Act Regulations (Safety Signs & Signals) require employers to provide adequate safety signs, including fire action, extinguisher identfication and means of escape.

"What does this act mean?"

As an employer you are responsible for ensuring that all exits are identified and these signs are clearly visible from anywhere in the workplace.

It is essential that all signs are positioned correctly and that in the event of a fire the lights operate via battery operation.
